Furry balls

With a first glance at these you might think that I had spent a lot of time felting, but take a closer look and you might realize what they really are. Yup! Milly and Poppet’s fur – and all down to the Furminator! Each day the two of them love a good grooming and then I just roll all the collected fur into balls, actually not really sure why I do it, but I think I was set this challenge by a friend of mine to see how big it could grow. Just keep adding fur and the longer you roll the harder and more felt-like they get! They have been accumulating in my living room where Poppet still wonders if the grey ones are her babies and if Milly is hiding in the ginger ones.

I wish there were some use for them, it’s a kind of recycling thing, if you can think of anything, let me know.

    Wow thats hilarious!
I have heard rumors that people knit stuff out of the dog hair – ie: sweaters and scarfs.

I think that is awesome! I hope you find a use for them, but I like the idea that Poppet takes an interest in them. Thanks for brightening my dreary rainy day with those furry balls.

They’re surprisingly cute! Like, when I think of “cat hair balls” I definitely don’t picture cute little dappled balls of grey and orange fur. I guess Mills and Poppet make everything cuter.
